Special Link-up 2012 Review Posts/ 2013 Goals Posts

The start of a new year is always a great time to reflect on the year gone by and to make plans, goals and intentions for the coming year.

AWB member Jamie sent us an email last week suggesting we do a special link up for everyones 2012 review posts and 2013 goal posts.  What a great idea and a great opportunity for me to mention that we always welcome ideas and suggestions! Please email julie@arkansaswomenbloggers with topic ideas.

So without further ado, we hope you will take a moment to link up your 2012 review and 2013 goal/intention posts in the LinkyTool  below.

As always, don’t forget to take a moment to visit the two people who posted before you. If you have enough time you might also want to check out a few others!

It has been an unusual week here in the natural state.

The munchkins have been off from school.

Santa came and while he brought joy to little smiling faces everywhere, there is also the post holiday mess that seems to lurk at every corner.

A rare Arkansas Blizzard brought loads of snow leaving some of you without power for days and a lot of us with a bad case of cabin fever.

And the new year is on the horizon leaving a lot of us to contemplate the 2,605,456 cookies we ate over the holiday.

So, whether you are looking back on 2012 or planning ahead to 2013, we know you have blogged it all and we can’t wait to read every bit of it!

I love reading blogs because you get a little glimpse into the life of someone else. You will read things that resonate deeply, things that make you laugh, things that make you cry and occasionally things that you disagree with. Blogs truly are a window to the world.

Highlights from last week:

Jessica from Life with the Bauer Boys has been dealing with fears of a miscarriage. The time spent waiting to discover if God was still in the miracle business was emotionally trying on Jessica and her family. Her reflections are beautiful.

Adrienne over at 180 from Crunchy  recalls an event from 2004 which could have been a Hallmark or Lifetime movie.  Have you ever been stranded at Christmas?

Tis’ the season for giving, right?  Most of us freely give to our friends and family, searching for the perfect gift to wrap up and present to our loved ones.  Keisha at Big Pitt Stop reminds us that there are many charities that can use our help this year too.  Keisha celebrates the Advent by giving to some wonderful organizations and asks, “What about you? What strikes your heart?  Who are you committed to?”

It’s always interesting to me that even when we all blog in such different genres and with different styles, certain times of the year have us blogging about similar things.  The holidays are just around the corner and last Sunday so many of you shared about thoughts on the season.

Highlights from last week:

Nikki from Just Lovely is working on a photo challenge for the month of December. She has a great list of photo prompts to help you out.

Leslie over at Nobody Gave Me the Instruction Booklet  has some Tree Drama  going on in her house.  It’s a battle that’s been going on for several years.  You hate to laugh at her struggles but it sure is funny!

You asked, we listened!

After receiving several requests for a longer time period for to enter links into the weekly blog linkup we have decided that we will extend the time through Monday night on a trial basis.  We will watch the stats and participation and see how it goes and will make future adjustments as needed so that the maximum number of bloggers can benefit.
