CONGRATS!
Arkansas Women Bloggers is pleased to offer you an exciting opportunity to participate in a beginners photography class hosted by two of our members: Ruthanne of Eclectic Whatnot and Melissa of Melissa Stover Photography and A Familiar Path. Spend just a moment on these blogs and you will see that these ladies CLEARLY have a handle on all things photography.
Together, they have put together a day-long workshop that will help the beginner photographer grasp some common photography tips and techniques we need to start taking those wonderful photos we see on other blogs ourselves! The workshop is designed for the digital SLR user and will cover topics such as Aperature, Shutter Speed and ISO as well as tips on shooting angles, how to get in the picture and more!
If you are interested in attending you can email them to register.

Love to read both of those blogs. And I know these ladies have a tremendous amount of camera knowledge.
I want to do this so badly, but it’s Lit Fest weekend. Boo! Keep us posted if they offer another class.
I am working to progress my business and while I have a camera that I am able to use, I usually have to take about 30 pictures to get 5 that are halfway decent. I have no clue what all those settings are. I need the idiots guide to making photos not look your first grader took the photo.
What an AWESOME giveaway! Thanks, ladies. Alas, I’m still playing with a point-and-shoot. Wish I had a grown-up camera so I could take this class. Whoever wins is one lucky gal- these two women take amazing photographs.
I would love to win this giveaway! I have had a great camera for years and am just now in the last year getting used to it and taking better photos, but admittedly, no nothing about aperture, iso, etc…
Great giveaway!
Amanda
I have been photographing flowers and landscape for years but rarely people. I want to learn how to take better images of my family.
I’d love to take this class! One of my goals this year is to increase my knowledge and skill in photography. I have a great camera, but am only beginning to get the hang of shooting in manual.
I had so very much fun at the class! I can say that now I can actually take a decent photo that people want to see! AND it wont’ burn your retinas looking at it!
Thanks SO MUCH! I loved it!
